Thank you to Katie and her team at The Manor Rooms On The Drewton Estate, steering group members and all our speakers, partners and exhibitors who helped to make our recent spring event such a success.
It was great to hear the buzz in the room as everyone enjoyed the opportunity to network in person again.
Katie welcomed everyone and shared some insightful thoughts. We would like to thank Cllr Jonathan Owen, Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and Cllr Jane Evison, Portfolio Holder for Economic Growth & Tourism, for giving the opening and closing remarks and reiterating the Council’s commitment to supporting rural businesses. Cllr Mark Blakeston helped us discover the wonders of the Wold Rangers Way and Malcolm Hodgson explained how everyone could join in the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. We were inspired by Alice from Little Wold Vineyard, Karen from Mires Beck Nursery and Tor from William’s Den, as they shared how adapting, innovating and working together had helped their businesses exceed customers’ expectations in a fast-changing world. Will from Visit East Yorkshire gave a tourism update and shared some of the amazing photography and videos showcasing all that is great about East Yorkshire and Emma explained the role of the Rural Partnership and asked members what they would like to see from any future rural programmes.
If you didn’t get chance to join us on the day or would like to see any of the presentations again, you can watch the event video on the Council’s You Tube channel.

Bridlington Bay Lobster Branding
The intention is to make Bridlington Bay Lobster a choice for both fine dining and everyday eating, so it can be enjoyed as a lobster roll eaten on the beach, scampi and chips in the pub or as part of a splash out meal in one of our top restaurants.
All businesses selling Bridlington Bay Lobster can use the logo to show they are a stockist. By adding the branding to promotional material such as menus and price lists, posters and social media, businesses will benefit from the awareness that is being raised through the central campaign. To request the logo and branding email bbl@forgaard.co.uk
