2025 Network Spring Event Speakers
2025 Network Spring Event available on You Tube
Thank you to Katie and her team at The Manor Rooms on The Drewton Estate, steering group members and all our speakers, partners and exhibitors who helped to make our spring event such a success. It was great to catch up with so many of you too!
Katie welcomed everyone, before introducing Deputy Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, Mr. Jim Bloom, who gave the opening remarks. We were inspired by Debbie from The Milk Well and Julie and Andrew from Alpacas at the Field, as they shared the stories behind their successful businesses. Edith Denton from ERYC’s Countryside Access Team gave an interesting update on the King Charles III England Coast Path and Rob Bamford from NFU Mutual spoke about financial services for businesses and individuals. Will Hall from Visit East Yorkshire gave a tourism update and highlighted opportunities to work with them and Dawn Hall advised members how they could access support and resources for their businesses from Invest East Yorkshire and reminded them of the importance of supporting local supply chains. Helen Wright gave the closing remarks, before the launch of the 2025/26 Enjoy Local Food & Drink Guide, which was followed by a delicious local buffet lunch and networking.

15,000 copies of the 60-page A5 guides have been printed and an eGuide with links to members’ websites has also been produced.

Humber Business Week - Get connected and be inspired
The Network is pleased to be joining VHEY at their drop-in event: A Focus on Tourism, part of the Humber Business Week launch, on Monday 2 June in the Legends Lounge at the MKM Stadium, Hull from 9.30am - 1.00pm. An interactive session designed to showcase the latest opportunities, insights, and initiatives across the visitor economy, bringing together stakeholders from across the region. The market under the bridge at Humber Bridge makes a grand return!
The Humber Bridge Board, in collaboration with Little Hummingbird Events, is spearheading the market’s revival which takes place on the first Sunday of every month from 9am - 2pm.
More than 130+ traders selling the best seasonal produce, makes, bakes, crafts and food and drink to enjoy on site or take home as tasty treats.
The market is dog friendly, is free to attend and there is ample free parking too.
