New allergen labelling law comes into force (Natasha’s Law)
From 1 October 2021, the requirements for prepacked for direct sale (PPDS) food labelling will change in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Any business that produces PPDS food will be required to label it with the name of the food and a full ingredients list, with allergenic ingredients emphasised within the list.
Businesses should check if their products require PPDS labelling and what they need to do to comply with the new rules:

Businesses encouraged to consult on council communication
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is currently undertaking a consultation to understand how East Riding customers, residents and businesses contact it and how easy they have found it to do so. The consultation runs until Friday, 15 October 2021 and will provide customers the opportunity to outline their needs and experiences in contacting the council, whether this has been face-to-face, by telephone or online.
