Guidance on using Freeports

Net Zero Strategy announced
The government has announced a Net Zero Strategy which sets out how businesses and consumers will be supported to make the transition to clean energy and green technology: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uks-path-to-net-zero-set-out-in-landmark-strategy
Self-Assessment, submission deadlines
The deadlines for 2020/21 tax returns are:
- 31 October 2021 for paper forms
- 31 January 2022 for online returns
This year, you will also have to declare any grants or payments from COVID-19 support schemes up to 5 April 2021 that you have received as these are taxable, including:
- Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS)
- Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS)
- Other COVID-19 grants and support payments such as self-isolation payments, local authority grants and those for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
