Selling to the Government Guide
The government has published a guide to support businesses in bidding for and winning government contracts.
This guide includes advice on where to find opportunities through Contracts Finder and Find a Tender (FTS) and what payment terms to expect. It also includes top tips for tendering and signposts to further support for SMEs.

Making Tax Digital
With all VAT registered businesses now having to keep digital VAT records, digital plans for income tax in 2024 and corporation tax in 2026 are progressing. Find out more now.

Widening the ban on exclusivity contracts
As well as supporting workers to increase their income, the planned reforms will also benefit businesses by widening the talent pool of job applicants to those who may have been prevented from applying for roles due to an exclusivity clause with another employer.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is looking to engage with a wide range of local stakeholders from the private, public, community and voluntary sectors to get your input on how the funding should be spent and how it can support delivery in the period from 2022 to 2025.
