Ideal for small or large companies, in any sector. This next event takes place on 7 July, 7.30am, at ergo Business Centre in Hessle.

EU procurement rules are to be scrapped in place of simpler, more flexible, and transparent procurement system. The Procurement Bill is expected to become law next year and will help to level the playing field for SMEs and drive economic growth across the UK.

Businesses must move to new customs platform
HMRC is advising importers and exporters of a move to a new customs IT platform. The current Customers Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) system will close for import declarations after 30 September 2022. If you import or export, please find more details here:

Armed Forces Covenant
East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Hull City Council have received funding from the Armed Forces Community Covenant Trust to raise awareness of the Armed Forces Covenant, the support available locally for the Armed Forces community and to promote the benefits of signing up to the Covenant for businesses. Local businesses can benefit hugely by employing reservists and veterans who have acquired a wide range of transferable skills and experience.
