Topic Of The Week
Ways to increase your marketing reach
When it comes to marketing our products and services, how many of us look outside the box at alternative options for getting us noticed. Most businesses use traditional methods such as website, social media and advertising but doing something different can make your business stand out and increase exposure to potentially whole new markets and customers. This could include:

Industry Awards
Awards and quality marks can boost your organisation’s reputation, setting you “apart from the crowd.” They shine a spotlight on your organisations offer as well as giving your employees a morale boost by highlighting their achievements.
As well as raising your profile achieving award success elevates a company’s credibility, helping to attract employees, customers, and investors.

Sponsorship
Sponsorships can increase brand recognition before, during and after an event giving your company exposure to new audiences or engaging in niche markets. This can be through various means such as press, social media, event advertising, ads and signs.
Sponsorship can also strengthen your company’s image. People typically enjoy supporting brands that invest in their community and spread positive messages. By sponsoring the right event, you can attract media attention, set your company apart from larger brands and inspire brand loyalty.
Though it requires financial commitment, it provides excellent exposure, which typically results in a great return on investment.

Taking your business mobile
Being in one place can be beneficial but can be restrictive in new customers finding you. Recent changes could have meant you have already taken your business online or you may only operate online. Having the opportunity to operate in another physical space such as markets or events is a great way to test your business plan, receive feedback or showcase your products and services to potential new audiences in a cost-effective way.

Throughout East Yorkshire and beyond there are always constant opportunities to test these and many other ideas out. Take a look at some of these opportunities below:

Made in East Yorkshire Christmas Market. The market aims to celebrate produce and crafts made exclusively by East Yorkshire businesses. Applications are open for stalls at the 3-day Made in East Yorkshire Christmas Market, to be held in Beverley from Wednesday 6th - Friday 8th December 2023 (10am - 4pm).
