Advanced Machinery Innovation Fund
Businesses with significant technical operations based within the Greater Manchester or West Yorkshire regions are invited to apply for a share of up to £1 million for the development of advanced machinery. Managed on behalf of the Advanced Machinery and Productivity Institute (AMPI), this competition aims to encourage the development of new manufacturing technology within the advanced machinery, robotics, automation, or associated industries. Projects must focus on delivering advancements in machinery for manufacturing and demonstrate innovation at an industrially relevant scale. Further information is available here: AMPI
New Innovators in digital technology, North East England
UK registered micro and small businesses can apply for a share of up to £1.5 million for projects that grow their innovation activities in the digital technology cluster in North East England. Projects must focus on digital technologies that can be applied in growing and emerging markets which include (but are not limited to): advanced manufacturing, agriculture and forestry, automotive and transportation, creative industries, culture, tourism, leisure and sport, green industries, health, offshore industries, and retail and town centre. The innovation can lead to new products, processes or services that are significantly ahead of others currently available, or propose an innovative use of existing products, processes or services. Innovate UK Investor Partnerships: SME round 7
The aim of this competition is to provide UK registered businesses with support for research and development and access to the capital investment they need to develop and commercialise their innovations. Grants are offered by Innovate UK, to be used alongside private investment from selected investor partners. Funding is available under 3 specific themes: advancing life-changing cancer therapeutics, the application of extended reality for digital mental health and projects within the creative industries which are underpinned by innovative digital technology as well as sustainable innovations (Creative Catalyst). DCMS Create Growth Programme Competition 3
UK registered micro, small and medium enterprises in the creative sector can apply for funding of between £10,000 and £30,000 for innovation projects to grow their business. Applicants should be based in one of 12 regions, which include: Greater Manchester, North East England, Hull & East Yorkshire and West Yorkshire. The aim of the competition is to provide a package of targeted support to high growth creative businesses, to scale, build investor networks and reach their potential.
