Artificial intelligence and automation are moving to the fore in public service delivery

About this event
Are automation and artificial intelligence core to the future of our health and public sector?
During the pandemic automation, or Robotic Process Automation (RPA), was deployed by many across local government and the NHS to automate the tsunami of new tasks related to covid testing and vaccinations. It’s reliability and efficiency has played a starring role and has much to bring to the sector as we move forward.

Meanwhile from intelligent automation to machine learning and artificial intelligence we are exploring new ways to visualise and use data to gain insight into the impacts of action – or inaction – on our world.

With the power to free time, release scarce resources and supercharge innovation, the question is, should these be specialist skills or embedded as foundational tools for the future of public services?

This event is free to attend for the public sector and accredited for five hours CPD.

Please register using your public sector email. Please note that registrations from personal email addresses may be rejected.

Event: Developing a Continuous Improvement Workplace Culture

Organiser: Hull and East Yorkshire Growth Hub

Event Type: Information Session

Description:
Must have strategies for small business owners and start-ups wanting to develop a sustainable process improvement culture, empowering people towards increased business productivity.

If you are a new business just starting out or an established SME looking to expand your operations, this workshop will provide you with a sound understanding of how to adopt and develop a Lean process improvement culture within your business.

James Deane of ProductionSupport56 brings 25 years’ experience working across many manufacturing and process sectors, specialising in operational change, lean manufacturing, process design and scale up. He considers that it is understanding the interaction between people and process which is key in developing world class operations and that the basis for improvement is cemented in the need to observe and measure what’s happening, processes can then be developed, improved, and optimised.

Together we will be answering the following questions:

- What is continuous improvement?
- How can you develop a culture of improvement?
- How to develop a people centred approach to productivity?

This workshop will provide you with the following:

- Kickstarting Kaizen, strategies for developing a continuous improvement culture.
