In this 2-hour webinar we will cover two main areas that will help you strengthen your business sustainably – Environmental Strategies and Energy Management, what the link is between these two areas, what impact understanding them can have on your business sustainability, and how to get started in implementing them.
Running your own business can be tough at the best of times, however given the current energy crisis and climate change agenda, strengthening your business sustainably now makes more economic sense than ever before. Understanding Environmental Strategies and Energy Management is a great first step on your path to business sustainability.
This 2-hour webinar will explore all of the key steps needed to guide your business through understanding what your Environmental Strategy may look like, and how Energy Management links to this and can benefit your business.
This will include a look at the following:

- Why a company may have an environmental strategy
- How to identify what is most significant environmentally for your company.
- Understanding basic environmental legal requirements for your company.
- Your environmental strategy & energy saving
B – Energy Management
- Why save energy in your business
- Where to look for energy savings in your business

- Setting Objectives and Action Plans for better energy management
Who Should attend:
This workshop session is ideal for leaders and managers of small businesses with an interest in sustainability, energy and climate governance. It will be particularly useful for businesses that are worried about the current energy crisis, and who want to take steps to ensure business sustainability.
Delegates will be given some practical real-life examples of steps that can be taken to help start their business sustainability journey by understanding what Environmental Strategies and Energy Management are. At the end of the session, delegates will possess a good understanding of how both these areas can contribute to their business sustainability; what the likely impacts of their business are on the environment; and how to start saving energy.

This workshop will be delivered by PAGE Consulting Ltd and Sean Casey, Environmental Strategies Ltd.
Steve Page is a highly experienced and respected business consultant and coach who has been providing high calibre business training and coaching to business start-up’s, Micro’s and SME’s over the last 20 years. Sean Casey has a background in energy management, having published in leading academic journals on the subject.

Your Event Eligibility:
Business Growth Scheme workshops and webinars are fully-funded by ERDF and are therefore FREE to attend for SMEs who are fully registered with the #GrowMySME Programme.
An eligible SME is one that, at a minimum, must:
- Have a trading address in the Humber area, which is; Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire
- Have less than 250 full time (or equivalent) employees
- Have a turnover of less than €50m or a balance sheet of less than €43m
For businesses that are yet to register with the #GrowMySME Programme please contact us at bgs@heylep.com.
You will be contacted by a member of the team to fill in an online Registration Form, which collects contact information, and basic information about your business, which will determine your initial eligibility for the Programme.
Once eligibility has been determined, a member of the team will then be able to confirm your event booking. You will also be offered the opportunity to be contacted by your local #GrowMySME business advisor.
For businesses that are already registered with the #GrowMySME Programme, our team will be in touch to confirm your event booking.
